It is finally happening! We have secured our new property, the future home of Misfits of Oz! We have found the most perfect, beautiful 5 acre property in Yale, OK that is a blank slate to create our paradise for the animals who currently and in the future will call Oz home. It is a perfectly square property with a modest home near the center that will allow views to all the new yards, more shared fence lines, larger yards, ability to separate by individual needs, less than one hour access to Tulsa, AND a 30 min drive to Stillwater, where Oklahoma State University has it's veterinary teaching hospital!

This move opens up so many new opportunities for us, but for us to make it happen, we now, more than ever need the support of our followers, friends and family. We need our people to rally together to help us get the things we need to turn this canvas into a magical paradise for pigs in the plains.

It will truly take a village to make this dream come true before the brutal winters of New Mexico set in. Over the last three years here, we have faced unbearable conditions that take a toll on both the animals and humans here, and we desperately wish to be set up in our new home in OK before we are forced to do that again, and we can do it with your help!

We will need to collect a LOT of materials to start setting up.
We will need:
- tall perimeter fencing with barbed wire to keep our residents safe on the sides of the property surrounded by fields
- tall fencing for our dogs to stay in and safe
- panels for attaching to current fence posts and to create all our new interior yards
- 10' T posts for tall fencing
- barbed wire for tall fencing
- 6' T posts for internal fencing
- multiple sized gates
- gate latches
- gravel for drive areas & pads for barns
- multiple shipping containers to turn into barns (we've chosen this route for tornado safety)
- container for Hay/Feed barn
- shed for supplies such as wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, tools, etc.
- sheets of insulation for inside containers
- plywood to block of insulation
-stall mats for floors of containers
-car ports to go over door areas of containers. This will provide extra shade, dry feed areas, and we will fence and gate them to be able to use to contain pigs when we need to administer medical care.
- panels and a shelter for Quarantine area.
-privacy fence in the back fence line to separate our property, and offer a mural space for visiting artists
- individual vet visits for each animal which will include their bloodwork, testing, and any required identification for moving states.
- rental for a spreader for gravel and a trencher to add more water lines and faucets
- water lines and faucets
- more trees to add additional shade
- a riding lawnmower to be able to maintain the pastures for the pigs
-Fuel charges for moving
- additional livestock trailer

There will be ongoing costs we will acquire, this is just the tip of the iceberg, but as you can see, it's a lengthy list.
